East Coast Magic Presents Name It! by John Blake

The magician takes out a deck of cards. He then shows the faces of the cards. The magician then shufflees the cards to show the are indeed mixed. The magician then riffles the face of the cards towards the spectators, asking one of the spectators to say stop whenever he or she wants to. The spectator is shown the cards, (let's say it's the eight of clubs he stopped at.) The magician then asks the spectator if it would be a good effect if he was able to name it. The magician then names the cards. He names it ALEX, or whatever name you say. The spectator is not impressed. The magician then shows the backs of the cards, showing all different names. The magician, again shows all the different names on the cards and says, "oh, you thought I was going to name the value and suit". The magician then states the value and suit to be the eight of clubs. The ALEX card is then turned over to prove it is indeed the eight of clubs.
